Open source real-time chat app

Context

SpaceUpTech (now Space Cloud) was building an open source backend platform and needed a compelling sample application to demonstrate its real-time capabilities to the developer community.

Approach

Developed and documented a web-based real-time chat application:

• Implemented the conversations list
• Built the single chat view
• Managed active status
• Configured Redux for application state management

The project was built independently to support an interesting fast-growing stack and published as open source.
